Lync SRV DNS record created but not recognized by Office 365 "set up a domain" process

I am following the O365 instructions to "set up a domain" and have created all DNS records that the O365 instructions have provided. My company's email/exchange records have all been detected by Office 365 and are operational. However, Lync is not operational despite the fact that I have inserted the correct SRV files shown below (and they have been inserted for several weeks). I have checked the spellings, and have confirmed with my host that they see nothing wrong on their end. The message from the O365 page is "Sorry, we couldn't find some of the DNS records you created" and "DNS Records Not Found". How can I get O365 to recognize the DNS record below?

Here is is the the SRV DNS record in question:

_sip (service), _tip (protocol), 443 (port), 1 (weight), 100 (priority), 14400 (ttl - this is the minimum I can enter for my host), mycompany.com(name), sipdir.online.lync.com(target)
