changed users domain name now it's showing up wrong

I changed a users default e-mail/account johndoe@domainname.com to another domainname we used with the same 365 account like johndoe@otherdomainname.com

Now when the user for instance add's/edits/etc a file to a sharepoint site or is listed in the sharepoint site user list his name is wrong, it used to state that the user John Doe had edited the file/is a member of the site but now it says
